Suzanne Weekes, WPI, presents, “Lean Out: Connecting Outside the Ivory Tower,” (3/27) and a technical lecture, “A Multi-compartment Mathematical Model of Cancer Stem Cell Driven Solid Tumor Growth Dynamics.” (3/28)

Professor of Mathematical Sciences Suzanne Weekes will give a lecture entitled, “Lean Out: Connecting Outside the Ivory Tower,” on March 27, in Rockefeller Hall, 300, at 5:00pm. The technical lecture, “A Multi-compartment Mathematical Model of Cancer Stem Cell Driven Solid Tumor Growth Dynamics,” will be on March 28 in Rockefeller Hall, 300, at 3:00pm.

CANCELLED - Andrea Bertozzi, UCLA, presents “Mathematics of Crime,” and “Geometric Graph-based Methods for High Dimensional Data.” (3/25 and 3/26)

On March 25th at 5pm in Rockefeller Hall 300, Professor Bertozzi will discuss the fascinating story behind her participation on the UCLA team that developed a "predictive policing" computer program that zeros-in on areas that have the highest probability of crime, now used in over fifty cities worldwide, in her lecture “Mathematics of Crime” as part of the 2019 Asprey Distinguished Lecture Series in Mathematics.
