About our speaker: Barbara Neumann, VC '74, graduated from Vassar with a major in math and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She holds an MBA in finance from the University of Rochester. She began at IBM as a technical writer and has worked in various roles in software documentation, including manager and team leader. She is currently an Advisory Software Engineer in Poughkeepsie, where she writes information about the z/OS operating system and delivers online content in the IBM Knowledge Center. Barbara also edits articles for the IBM Systems magazine and participates actively in STEM and Design Thinking events at Vassar, Union College, SUNY New Paltz, and the University of Rochester.
